THE CLASSES
Mysore
In a Mysore-style class, students of all levels practice independently but in a group setting. Students learn a specific sequence of postures that they commit to memory and practice daily. Each student is unique, coming to the practice with their own individual physical and mental constitution; thus, the teacher guides the practitioner accordingly through the series. Learning in the Mysore-style environment offers an opportunity to develop a committed personal practice within the community of a shala.

Led Class
In a led class, the teacher calls each asana and counts each vinyasa in Sanskrit. It is an opportunity to refine one’s ability to match the correct breath to each movement and to and practice together as a community.
